At AirBiometrics we propose a solution based on early detection of IBD as well as the staging the disease by non-invasive testing. Our approach avoids unnecessary testing by reducing diagnostic waiting times. In the last 40 years its incidence has increased by 60% for Ulcerative Colitis and 80% for Crohn’s Disease. In addition, although most cases were found in industrialized countries since 1960 the presence of this pathology has increased exponentially in developing countries.

In contrast to the current painful and uncomfortable tests (colonoscopies, blood and stool tests), at AirBiometrics we use a non-invasive sample to perform our analysis, eliminating any discomfort.
We analyse specific IBD biomarkers that reduce diagnosis time. Currently 50% of cases take more than 1 year to get a diagnosis, and almost 20% take more than 5 years. With Airbiometrics, an accurate diagnosis can be made within hours.
The health system suffers from congestion, aggravated after the pandemic, which causes long waiting lists for diagostic tests (up to 11 months for a colonoscopy in the Valencian Community or 6 in Madrid, etc.). The AirBiometrics test makes it possible to classify cases according to their severity, avoiding colonoscopies as a preventive measure.
